Kesari (2019) is an upcoming Indian war drama film based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghan in 1897. It stars Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles and directed by Anurag Singh. Principal photography began in January 2018 and the film is scheduled for release in 2019.
